I fired Xfinity for my business a couple years ago and replaced with Starlink. Yes, lower overall speed, but 99.9999% uptime instead of ~90%. Haven't regretted it for a moment.
(I have AT&T fiber at the house, which is great. If ever available at the office, I'll add that as primary.)
Sounds very frustrating. Just FYI - I am very happy with the mytello.com service Sweden-Toronto. So I have a virtual number in Toronto and my father has one in Stockholm. He doesn't have, or want, a cell phone. Just in case you want a backup-from-Skype option.

XFinity/comcast, has exclusive areas where no better ISPs can compete with them. Without competition. there's no incentive to get better.
